“We have had our home and car policy through the R.J. O’Brien Agency for many years. As people are always trying to get “the best bang for their buck,” there are other factors. When it comes to insurance, you might be able to find a better price, but when you need something explained, or have an issue, you don’t want to be left on a 1 (800) line with a stranger. You want to be able to pick up the phone and call John or Kevin or someone in their office and feel confident that they are taking care or your situation. It is customer service. When we were hit with Tropical Storm Irene last year, we realized just how important the O’Brien Insurance Agency is.
“My wife and I have been with O’Brien Insurance since we moved to New York. When we were hit with Tropical Storm Irene last year, we realized just how important the O’Brien Insurance Agency is, and how much they truly care. We were swamped by 6 feet of water in our basement when the storm drains backed up on our street. We were evacuated in the afternoon and we were on the phone with Kevin at 8 pm that night. He showed up at 9 am the next morning to check on how things were going, a good half hour drive. Other neighbors on our street have insurance agents that are within walking distance, but didn’t show up for a week after the storm. Since Kevin came so early, he was able to take pictures of where the damage was coming from. This was a huge deal because he was able to see the water did not come from the river, which meant we were covered. Others on our street were not nearly as fortunate, since their agents showed up so much later. We ended up receiving our claim check before others on our street had even seen their agents.
